2.3% of Washington County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Washington County recorded an unemployment rate of 2.3% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 257 people out of the 20,699 living in Washington County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Washington County has decreased compared to the 2.5% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Washington County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 3.3%.

Of the 10,861 people who had a job during that time, 21 were employed in the Armed Forces and 10,840 belonged to the civilian labor force.
